I just absolutely love my mothers pineapple upside down cake with chocolate toppings at the top. i know it is a bit unorthodox with chocolate and pineapple together? but seriously guys... you have to try the rendition of my mother... it is simply decadent.

wow Eric that seems to be lovely pastry that your mother is making for your family every Christmas. In our family we usually make gingerbread cookies. Though they seem to be simpler compared to other treats, we value more the process of making the cookies together as a family rather than the taste of the cookie itself. our family really values togetherness.

I agree with you Kim. It does not matter whether you have Brusli or simply plain cookies, all it matters is who will be the people you are sharing your pastries with during Christmas.

Our family makes cheesecakes because my kids really love this treat. I am also a fan of cheesecakes, especially Blueberry ones. I know how to make a no-bake cheesecake so I am the one in charge for this pastry every Yuletide.

That is very sweet and fatherly of you Hans. Can you teach us all how to make a no-bake blueberry cheesecake? I only know how to make some fruit floats that are no bake but cheesecakes? I must know this please.

I usually bake chocolate chip and brittle peanut cookies for Christmas. My family really indulges in this sweet delight that I make. you will just be surprised that after a few days the big cookie jar will already be empty and I have to make another batch that will last until the 25th.

My girlfriend would always invite me in their home at Chexbres every Christmas time. Her mother would prepare a chocolate mousse for the entire family which then includes me. I am very lucky, I might add. Anyway, her mother makes the best chocolate mousse I have and will ever taste in my life. that is the treat I really look forward to every Christmas.
